About this Cobra Springs Volvo S60 Mk2 COBRALS8061 kit:
For over 30 years Cobra has designed and made springs for both race and streetcars. With Cobra Springs you can enjoy improved handling while at the same time, maintaining ride quality and safety.
Cobra Suspension cold wind springs from high tensile chromium-silicone wire sourced from premium European steelmakers on CNC Coilers. They heat treat and shot-peen the springs which greatly improves strength and product life. The finished product is then treated with phosphate and finally resin powder coated for a hard shell resistant to corrosion.
Cobra redesigns the OE spring and then lower the centre of gravity to dramatically improve your vehicles performance and appearance. The progressive springs rate allows the Cobra Suspension to improve handling, without sacrificing comfort.
In the early 1980s, Cobra started out working with race teams in the Dutch Touring Car Championship on cars such as the BMW E30 and Mercedes W201. During the 1980s the primary focus was sport suspension development for race cars, tuners and special projects for car distributors.
In 1995 suspension specialists teamed up with Holland’s leading spring factory to form Cobra Suspension. The mission: To develop a full range of high quality lowering springs and shock absorbers, and went on to become one of the leading names in sport suspension.
The technology used to develop cutting edge racecar suspension is also the very same used for developing new components for streetcars. Cobra Suspension includes one of the biggest product line-ups in the industry including streetcars, amateur racing cars, and top-level sports cars.
Suspension by Cobra is tested under extreme conditions, results which allow for further development for cars on the street. In addition to its high-quality control, Cobra also fulfils quality standards such as TUV. Almost all the products leaving the warehouse bear all the necessary certificates.

When replacing the suspension, we advise replacing items such as mounting cups due to wear and tear. Using old worn parts can cause vibration or knocks so we recommend changing these parts at the same time.
Stated drop rates may vary, plus 10 mm or minus 10mm (approx). This depends on vehicle spec, options, tolerances & age. E.g. pickup conversions, with more or less rear weight.
*Please note: After any ride height adjustment, we recommend the vehicle’s geometry is checked and re-aligned if needed, using suitable equipment. Not doing so can result in uneven or excessive tyre wear, and in some cases even affect how the vehicle handles.
Based on the wheels fitted, some vehicles may need wheel spacers and also arch mods for fitment after lowering. Please check before ordering.
If you are unsure about the fitment of this Cobra Springs Volvo S60 Mk2 COBRALS8061 kit, please email us.
